There are many webmasters or bloggers using WordPress. So I thought of giving few seo tips to those fellows who are newbie at this.
After installing WordPress change your url structure at permalink in settings. You can choose either “Postname” or “Day and name” or “Month and name” so that your post url will be seo friendly. You can use some seo plugins too. But make sure you are using meta description by installing a plugin, as in this function is not included in default WordPress installation.
Choose some niches to write article. You must have interest in those niches. Make sure you do not copy paste articles from other sites. Write from your own experience and knowledge. After writing the article you have to post. So when posting the article add meta description and related tags. You can also add images to your article. So now post the article and check at Copyscape by inputting the url to post. Now if you see it passed, then you have done the right thing. But if you haven’t passed, then check which parts have the problems.
Submit your site to Google using Google Webmaster Tools. Now share the post to social media sites like Facebook, twitter, Google plus, etc. or any other places where you can get your readers. Also use Google analytics to track the visitors.
When you have many posts in your site, then interlink the related articles so that the reader may go to that article instead of leaving your website. You may also guest post at other sites and link back to your article.
After you have too many articles. Check which articles are giving you the best results. Improve those articles which do not give good result. And those which are giving best results, interlink them from other pages from your site or other sites by guest blogging. Keep in mind to regularly update you blog or site with new and quality articles.
You can check backlinks using ahrefs tool, opensiteexplorer.org
Using ahrefs tool you can track from where you are getting free backlinks to your which article. So that you can give time to enhance the right article. You have see referring pages, total backlinks, referring IPs, referring Subnets, referring Domains, dofollow or nofollow, text or image backlink, referring pages or domains for anchor phrases.
